About the Project

This case study is a hands-on exploration of end-to-end AI video production, created to test and refine advanced generative AI workflows in a commercial context. The project spans the complete pipeline — starting with deep product analysis, creative concepting, and scriptwriting, through to final execution.

To maintain visual consistency and control, I developed a structured workflow: defining character personas, running AI casting, and organizing technical model sheets. All environments, props, and talent were generated through targeted AI prompts, followed by video generation and final assembly/editing. The goal was to master high-level consistency and narrative control within a fully AI-driven pipeline.

Smeg TSF01 — The Frame

The country's top interior photographer shoots the most beautiful kitchens in the world. In his camera case, between the lenses, he carries his own toaster — because without it the shot doesn't work.

Diegetic sound only. No music.

01EXT. CITY STREET — MORNING

A black motorcycle with chrome detailing runs down the street, shot from the side — Hero in the saddle, camera case on his back.

The rear wheel rolls along the curb and stops. The suspension drops and rebounds.

SFXengine growl, throttle easing off, rubber on asphalt, ignition cutting out.

02INT. MAGAZINE OFFICE, CORRIDOR — MORNING

Floor-to-ceiling windows run along the left, a wall of doors and magazine covers along the right. A black helmet hangs from Hero's lowered left hand, swinging with his steps. The camera rises along his figure and orbits him — leather jacket, camera case on his right shoulder, an unhurried, steady walk.

Two staffers come the other way: a Black woman with layout boards under her arm and a redhead carrying a coffee cup. The redhead lifts the cup toward her mouth, glances up, recognises him — and freezes with the cup halfway, never taking the sip. The other woman takes her by the elbow and steers her right, toward the wall of covers.

Hero passes them on their left without slowing or turning his head. The redhead only lowers the cup once he's gone by.

Both follow him with their eyes, then turn their heads in unison to the wall behind them. The camera follows their look onto the wall and pushes in on one cover: PHOTOGRAPHER OF THE YEAR.

On the covers beside it, slightly out of focus, Smeg toasters in different colours sit on kitchen counters. Nothing draws attention to them.

SFXfootsteps on the floor, the muted hum of the office dropping away as he passes.

03INT. EDITOR'S OFFICE — MORNING

Hero sits at the desk across from the EDITOR. Behind him, his black helmet rests on the sofa.

The Editor is a woman of 50–55, severe, short haircut, heavy rings on three fingers, stacked bracelets on her right wrist. A cream espresso cup sits by her elbow. She sets down her pen and lifts her eyes to him.

Her right hand takes a folder marked KITCHENS from the desk, turns it to face him and pushes it across the surface toward him. The folder slides a few centimetres and stops in front of him.

Editor

“Kitchens.”

Hero's right hand settles on the folder and draws it in. He raises his eyes to her and gives a short wink.

She doesn't answer. She holds her face.

He drops his eyes back to the folder — and only now, for a quarter of a second, a half-smile crosses her lips.

SFXa pen set down on the desk, a folder sliding across wood, one word.

04INT. HERO'S LOFT — MORNING

Morning light from the window. The open camera case sits on the table.

Inside: two black camera bodies with chrome rings seated in foam, three lens slots, one of them already filled. And a fourth slot, noticeably longer and wider than the rest, holding something wrapped in a grey microfibre cloth.

Hero's right hand takes the first lens from the table, lowers it into a free slot and presses it home with his thumb. Then the second, the same way.

He picks up a second identical microfibre cloth, breathes on the front element of the third lens and wipes it in a circular motion. He sets the lens in the case. With the same cloth he passes over the wrapped shape in the large slot in passing, tucking the edge of the fabric inward — the shape disappears completely.

Both hands close the lid; his thumbs snap the latches shut.

SFXlens glass against foam, breath on glass, cloth on glass, latches snapping.

05INT. PASTEL KITCHEN — DAY

Hero takes the back of a chair in both hands, pulls it away from the table and turns it a quarter turn. He lets go. He looks. He returns the pad of his right index finger to the chair back and nudges it a couple of degrees further.

He steps back twice without looking at his feet. He raises the camera to his eye and finds the frame. A shutter click.

SFXchair legs on the floor, steps backward, one shutter click.

06INT. EDITOR'S OFFICE — DAY

An empty desktop. The Editor's right hand — rings and bracelets — enters frame and tosses a fresh issue onto the desk. The magazine slides across the wood and settles.

On the cover: the pastel kitchen. The camera pushes in on the toaster on the counter inside the cover image.

SFXpaper slapping down on wood.

07INT. RED KITCHEN — DAY

Hero stands with the camera at his eye, then lowers it. He crosses to the counter, cups a vase of flowers in both palms and turns it a quarter turn, bringing the best bloom to face the lens. He takes his hands away, looks — and nudges the vase a couple of degrees with the pad of his index finger. With the same finger he tucks one stray stem back into the arrangement.

He steps back. He raises the camera. A shutter click.

SFXglass turning on stone, a stem rustling, one shutter click.

08INT. EDITOR'S OFFICE — DAY

The ringed hand tosses a second issue on top of the first. It lands slightly offset, the edge of the first still visible. The red kitchen on the cover. Push in on the toaster.

SFXpaper on paper.

09INT. CREAM KITCHEN — DAY

Hero lowers the camera, leans over the counter and almost lies down across it, bringing his eyeline level with the surface. With the pad of his right index finger he slides a single cup one centimetre to the left. He takes his hand away. He looks. He brings the finger back and returns the cup half a centimetre.

He straightens, steps back. He raises the camera. A shutter click.

SFXporcelain sliding on stone, a held breath, one shutter click.

10INT. EDITOR'S OFFICE — DAY

The ringed hand tosses a third issue onto the stack. The cream kitchen. Push in on the toaster.

SFXpaper on paper.

11INT. DARK KITCHEN — DAY

A vast dark kitchen. Expensive, immaculate, empty.

Hero sets the case on the floor by the entrance and takes out the camera. He crosses to a light stand, grips the column with his left hand and turns the head with his right — a quarter turn first, then a couple of degrees more with his fingertip. He walks back to his position and raises the camera to his eye. A shutter click.

He lowers the camera and turns the screen toward himself. His right thumb zooms into the image on the display. His face, for the first time — it isn't working.

He lifts his head and sweeps his eyes across the kitchen, right to left, along the empty counter. He walks its length and stops at a cabinet. His right hand takes the handle and opens the door.

Inside, pushed to the back of the shelf, sit the hidden appliances: a blender, a vacuum sealer, a dough mixer. One of them still has its factory film on. A beat. He closes the door.

He returns to the case, drops to his left knee and throws back the lid. Both hands lift the wrapped shape out of the large slot. He sets it on the counter and unfolds the microfibre — the top corner first, then the two sides. Under the cloth: a black Smeg TSF01 with a chrome lever and chrome trim.

He takes the toaster in both hands, lifts it and sets it in the middle of the counter. He steps back. He returns and nudges the body a couple of degrees with the pad of his index finger — the movement of pulling focus.

He breathes on the chrome lever and wipes it with the same microfibre. He takes his hand away.

He stands, raises the camera. A shutter click. On the display: the same kitchen, now alive.

He lifts the toaster off the counter, wraps it back in the microfibre, lays it in its slot and closes the case.

SFXroom tone, the light stand creaking, one dead shutter click, a cabinet door, cloth unfolding, the toaster settling on stone, breath on chrome, a second shutter click that lands differently, the case latches.

12INT. EDITOR'S OFFICE — DAY

The ringed hand tosses a fourth issue onto the stack. The dark kitchen on the cover. The fingers rest on the cover a second longer than the times before, and only then leave frame.

The camera pushes in on the black toaster and holds.

SFXpaper on paper, then silence.

13INT. HERO'S LOFT — NIGHT

Hero sits back on the leather sofa, feet up on the coffee table. A glass with ice and a drink in his right hand.

He takes a sip, leans forward and sets the glass down on the table beside his feet.

He sits back. He raises both hands in front of his face and forms a square frame with his thumbs and index fingers. He pans it slightly right, then stops.

Reverse — what he sees inside the square: his own kitchen, and on the counter the same black Smeg from the scene before.

He lowers his hands to his knees. He adjusts nothing. Here, everything is already in place.

SFXice in a glass, the glass set down on the table, the room settling into silence, nothing more.

End card

Not for the cupboard. For the frame.

Smeg TSF01 — The Frame

The country's top interior photographer shoots the most beautiful kitchens in the world. In his camera case, between the lenses, he carries his own toaster — because without it the shot doesn't work.

Diegetic sound only · No music · No flash · He always shoots away from our lens

01EXT. CITY STREET — MORNING16s

Hero rides in along the avenue and shuts the bike down action by action, then walks into the building.

1A8s · 4 cuts · CU → ECU → MS → MW

  1. Close tracking profile · 85mm · 4sHelmet, shoulders, gloved hands on the bars. The facade smears past behind him, sun strobing across the visor. The throttle hand rolls off; he straightens as the bike stops, left boot dropping out of frame. Engine still idling.
  2. Snap macro · 100mm · 1sThe gloved right thumb pushes the red kill switch. The idle dies and the street rushes into the silence.
  3. Snap medium · 50mm · 1sThe left hand turns the key to OFF. Needles fall, dash goes dark, two fingers pull the key out and it swings on its fob.
  4. Snap low medium-wide · 35mm · 1sThe boot flicks the sidestand down, steel locking with a clack. He leans the machine onto it; the suspension gives once and the shadow locks onto the pavement.

1B8s · 2 cuts · WS / MS

  1. Wide static · 24mmHe swings his leg over the tail and stands off the machine, drops the key into his pocket without looking at it. He does not look up at the building.
  2. Medium · 50mmThumb through the D-ring, the helmet comes off, tucked under his left arm. He pulls the case strap tight and walks toward the steps, leaving the bike in the sun.

SFXengine, throttle easing off, rubber on asphalt, kill switch, key out of the barrel, sidestand locking, boots on granite.

02INT. INTERNO, ENTRANCE HALL — MORNING40s

Hero crosses the hall. Two staffers standing at the covers wall recognise him and freeze, then turn to the wall behind them.

2A8s · 2 cuts · CU → MCU / WS → MCU

  1. Low rear tracking, rising · 35mmBoots crossing bars of window light, the helmet swinging at the bottom of frame. The camera climbs his body and settles behind his head.
  2. Orbit, wide closing to medium-close · 28mmThe hall rotates behind him. He passes through a slab of backlight as a silhouette, then steps into shade and his face resolves — eyes forward, nothing on it.

2B8s · 2 cuts · MS / CU

  1. Medium two-shot · 50mmThe redhead lifts her cup mid-sentence. Something crosses the corner of her vision and her head turns past the lens. The cup stops dead two inches from her lips.
  2. Tight single · 85mmRecognition, and she hides none of it: brows up, eyes wide, lips parted on a breath she doesn't take. The cup comes down, the sip abandoned.

2C8s · 2 cuts · MCU / WS

  1. Medium close single · 85mmHer colleague notices the silence before she understands it. Eyes up off the tablet, the same astonishment a beat later — and she forgets to close her mouth.
  2. Wide static · 28mmHe crosses the near foreground, big and soft and out of focus, without turning his head. Their heads turn together to keep him in view. Only when he's gone do their shoulders drop.

2D8s · 2 cuts · MS / WS → CU

  1. Medium two-shot from the wall side · 50mmThey hold on the empty doorway. Then, with no cue between them, both heads turn in the same beat to the wall behind them.
  2. Wide over their shoulders, rising into a push · 28mmThe camera leaves them and travels onto the covers wall, tightening until one frame fills the screen: PHOTOGRAPHER OF THE YEAR.

2E8s · 2 cuts · MS / CU

  1. Oblique across the glass · 50mm · rack focusFocus travels off the portrait and the neighbouring covers come forward. On the kitchen worktops inside them stand Smeg toasters in different colours — small, off-centre, never lit for.
  2. Straight-on close · 85mmBack to the portrait dead-on. Behind it, far out of focus, the two women walk away and out of frame.

SFXboots on polished concrete, the hum of the hall thinning as he passes, a cup set down on a saucer that never happens.

03INT. EDITOR'S OFFICE — MORNING24s

A stare-off, one word, a stack of kitchen prints, and the brief.

3A8s · 6 cuts · MS → MCU → CU → ECU → MCU → CU

  1. Medium single, editor · 50mm · 2sShe has been watching him for a while before the cut arrives. Chin down, weight back, eyes narrowing at the outer corners. The corner of her mouth pulls sideways — she's amused, and the jaw sets against it.
  2. Medium close, hero · 85mm · 2sHe meets it. Jaw loose, entirely unbothered. He narrows nothing.
  3. Close, editor · 100mm · 1sNostrils widen on a held inhale, the tendon moves in her jaw. A challenge with something warm buried under it.
  4. Extreme close, his eyes · 135mm · 1sGrey-green, catch-lights from the corner windows, one blink that arrives too late to count as a concession.
  5. Medium close, editor · 85mm · 0.75sShe exhales once through the nose — the closest thing to a laugh she'll allow — brows lifting together: well?
  6. Close, hero · 100mm · 0.75sOne eyebrow up, barely. The duel is over and nobody won it.

3B8s · 3 cuts · MS / ECU / MCU

  1. Medium single, editor · 50mmShe breaks first, and only because she chose to. Her ringed hand comes down flat on the stack of A4 prints beside her.
  2. Extreme insert · 100mm macroShe turns the stack face-up as she pushes it — glossy kitchen prints fanning across the glass — and it stops square in front of him.
  3. Medium close, editor · 85mmShe lifts her eyes back onto him. She does not smile after the line and does not blink.

Editor

Kitchens.

Editor

Shoot them like supermodels.

3C8s · 3 cuts · MS / ECU / CU

  1. Medium single, hero · 50mmHe looks at the top print for one beat, nothing on his face. Without looking up, his hand travels sideways to the bowl of sweets.
  2. Extreme insert · 100mm macroTwo fingers pick out a sweet — dusty rose among sage and amber — twist it open one-handed, flick it up and catch it in his mouth. The wrapper goes into his pocket, not onto her desk.
  3. Close single, hero · 100mmOne quiet crunch. His fingertip squares the stack of prints a couple of degrees to the desk edge — his own correcting gesture, done to her desk, in front of her. He gets up. She holds on the empty chair.

SFXa pen set down on glass, bracelets, paper sliding on glass, a wrapper, one crunch.

04INT. HERO'S LOFT — DAY8s

He hoods the last lens, drops it into the case and shuts it. The wrapped bundle in the long slot is never opened and never remarked on.

4A8s · 3 cuts · MW / ECU / MS

  1. Medium wide · 35mm · contre-jourHe sits on the sofa, elbows on his knees, the open case on the floor at his feet. He picks the hood off the cushion and brings it to the barrel.
  2. Extreme insert · 100mm macroThe hood meets the bayonet and locks with a quarter turn. He gives it a half-turn back against the stop to check it is seated.
  3. Medium insert · 50mmThe lens goes into the foam under his thumb, the lid comes down, both thumbs snap the latches. His hands rest on the closed lid one breath and lift away.

SFXbayonet lock, glass into foam, the compressed thump of the lid, two latches half a beat apart.

05INT. PASTEL KITCHEN — DAY8s

A working set — stands, sandbags, taped cable runs, an assistant on a bounce board. He takes the chair out of the picture and shoots.

5A8s · 3 cuts · MW / MCU / WS

  1. Medium wide · 35mm · the whole set in frameHe takes the chair by the back and the seat, lifts it clear of the floor and carries it out of frame. Decision, not fuss. The assistant tilts the bounce into the space it left.
  2. Medium close, over his right shoulder · 85mmHe steps back, boots clearing a cable run by instinct, the camera rising in his hands — lens pointing away from us at the island, which stays visible past his shoulder. The assistant goes still, holding his breath with him. One shutter click.
  3. Wide static · 24mmThe room as he has left it: island, pendants, brass, and the empty floor where the chair stood. Cleaner by exactly one object.

SFXchair legs off the floor, boots on tile, one shutter click, nothing else.

06INT. EDITOR'S OFFICE — DAY8s

The first issue lands. One locked-off overhead shot, no cuts inside it.

6A8s · 1 continuous cut · MS overhead

  1. Medium overhead · 50mm · locked offTwo seconds of empty glass. Her ringed hand puts the April issue down hard — one sharp crack of paper on a hard surface — lets go at the instant of contact and withdraws in one motion. The magazine slides, rotates and stops dead by itself. Silence closes over it.

SFXpaper on glass, bracelets, then room tone.

07INT. RED KITCHEN — DAY8s

Same set logic, different crew hand — this one steers a black flag. He moves the vase to the middle of the worktop and shoots.

7A8s · 3 cuts · MW / ECU / MCU

  1. Medium wide · 35mm · the whole set in frameHe takes the vase in both hands around the glass, carries it several feet and sets it down square in the raking light. The assistant swings the flag to cut the hotspot back off the glass.
  2. Extreme insert · 100mm macroThe base meets stone. The water sways twice and flattens, the blooms rock and settle, caustics swing across the stone and come to rest.
  3. Medium close, over his left shoulder · 85mmHe steps back, the camera rising, lens away from us at the vase past his shoulder. The assistant freezes on the flag. One shutter click.

SFXglass on stone, water moving, one shutter click.

08INT. EDITOR'S OFFICE — DAY8s

The second issue lands on the first. Identical setup to the first drop — same height, same framing.

8A8s · 1 continuous cut · MS overhead

  1. Medium overhead · 50mm · locked offTwo seconds on the single magazine. The May issue comes down hard on top of it — a flat crack of paper on paper, duller and heavier than paper on glass. It lands offset, a strip of April still showing. The hand is gone before the stack settles.

SFXpaper on paper, bracelets.

09INT. CREAM KITCHEN — DAY8s

The camera declares the object first, then travels with it. He shoots toward the range and the rail of copper pans above it.

9A8s · 2 cuts · CU → MS tracking / MCU

  1. Close establisher into a continuous track · 85mmTwo seconds on the checked tea towel alone, hanging over the cabinet edge left of the range. His hand closes on it and pulls it off — and the camera goes with the towel, holding cloth and fist dead centre while the whole kitchen slides past behind. He drops it on the far counter, outside the shooting area. Hold one beat on it where it lies.
  2. Medium close, over his right shoulder · 85mmHe steps back to his mark, lens away from us squarely at the black range and the rail of copper pans and utensils above it. The cleared cabinet edge reads bare in the near part of his frame. One shutter click.

SFXcloth dragging off wood, boots on tile, one shutter click.

10INT. EDITOR'S OFFICE — DAY8s

The third issue lands on the stack. Same setup again.

10A8s · 1 continuous cut · MS overhead

  1. Medium overhead · 50mm · locked offThe June issue onto the pile, offset again, all three covers showing as stepped strips. The pile rocks once and stops. Three layers now, and the stack has started to look like a record of something.

SFXpaper on paper, bracelets.

11INT. DARK KITCHEN — DAY20s

All that equipment, all that light — and every worktop still bare. The room refuses to work, the cupboard is full of hidden appliances, and he unwraps the toaster.

11A10s · 4 cuts · WS / ECU / MCU / MS

  1. Wide, tracking from behind · 24mmHe is small in an enormous room full of gear and empty of everything else; the assistant digs through a kit bag deep in the background. The camera rises to his eye, lens away from us at the bare marble. The micro-pause runs a half-second too long. One shutter click — and it lands dead in the space, flat and thin.
  2. Extreme insert, the display · 100mm macroThe kitchen on the screen: immaculate, expensive, completely dead. His thumb hits the zoom. Again. Nothing improves.
  3. Clean single, slow push · 85mmHis face, for the first time without a job in front of it. The eyes cross the display twice and stop. The jaw tightens once. Not disappointed — diagnosing. Behind him, far out of focus, the assistant tightens a knuckle up the ladder.
  4. Medium, over his shoulder · 50mmHe swings the cabinet open. Shoved deep at the back: a blender, a vacuum sealer, a stand mixer — and on one of them the factory film still on, never peeled. He touches nothing. Then closes the door slower than he opened it.

11B10s · 4 cuts · MW / CU tracking / ECU / MCU

  1. Medium wide, floor level at the case · 35mmStraight in on the case with no preamble. His hands pull the grey microfibre away — and under it, seated in the foam, the black TSF01. Both hands lift it out, the weight plain in his wrists.
  2. Close tracking shot · 85mmThe camera locks onto the toaster and travels with it, the black body dead centre while cable runs, a light stand, green cabinetry and the island slide past behind.
  3. Extreme insert, the back run · 100mm macroBoth hands set it on the marble right of the brass tap and left of the black ovens. Chrome feet meet stone with one small solid contact. He takes his hands off and does not touch it again.
  4. Medium close, over his right shoulder · 85mmHe steps back, lens away from us at the toaster past his shoulder. Micro-pause — short this time. One shutter click, and it lands differently: fuller, rounder, with the whole room behind it. He turns the screen to himself: the same kitchen, now alive.

SFXroom tone, a kit bag, a knuckle tightening, one dead shutter click, a cabinet door, cloth pulling away, the toaster meeting stone, a second click that sounds different.

12INT. EDITOR'S OFFICE — DAY8s

The fourth issue lands. Identical setup to the three before it, so the one difference is unmistakable.

12A8s · 1 continuous cut · MS overhead

  1. Medium overhead · 50mm · locked offThe dark kitchen issue comes down hard on the pile, four stepped covers now. But the hand does not leave: the palm and fingers stay flat on the cover, the bracelets going silent against the paper — one beat, two, three, far longer than any previous drop. Then it lifts, leaving the black toaster on the printed marble alone in the middle of the desk.

SFXpaper on paper, then nothing at all.

13INT. HERO'S LOFT — DUSK20s

He never looks into the lens. His eye-line runs diagonally past the camera, deep into the room, at his own kitchen.

13A10s · 1 continuous cut · MW → CU

  1. Single continuous push · 40mm · no cuts insideIt opens on a full frame — the sectional running past both edges, the coffee table with his feet on it cutting the bottom — and pushes in without stopping. He drinks, one slow swallow, ice knocking the glass. He sets the tumbler down beside his own feet and falls back. His eyes narrow, reading something deep in the room. Both hands come up and the thumbs and index fingers make a rectangle, angled away from us — and as it closes he shuts one eye, the open eye lining up behind the opening: the reflex of a man putting his face to a viewfinder, in an armchair, with no camera in his hands. The push lands on a close-up and holds.

13B10s · 3 cuts · MCU → WS through the frame / CU / MS

  1. Over-the-shoulder push through the finger frame · 40mmWe are behind him, his raised hands filling the near foreground out of focus, and inside the opening — sharp and small — his own kitchen. The camera moves forward into it; his hands slide out past the left and right edges as we pass through them, and what was framed inside his fingers now fills the screen, in exactly the composition his hands had chosen.
  2. Slow push on the toaster · 85mmThe black Smeg on the counter under the open shelving, warm strip light along the chrome, backlit marble glowing behind it. Nothing enters the shot, nothing is adjusted, nothing needs to be. The picture is already made.
  3. Medium, back on him · 50mmOne eye still shut. Then both open together, his hands come down and land flat on his knees, and he does not raise them again. His face lets go by a fraction — not a smile, just the removal of work from it.

SFXice in the glass, the tumbler set down on wood, the room settling, nothing more.

14END CARD — BLACK8s

148s · 2 cuts · locked off on black

  1. Static · 85mmBlack holds in complete silence. The Smeg logo resolves at centre frame — no flourish, no shine sweep, no particles. It is simply there, the way a print appears in a developing tray.
  2. Static · same frameA beat under the logo, the line appears in small, widely letter-spaced capitals. Both hold, dead centre, dead still, to the end of the clip.

SFXnone. Silence.

End card

Not for the cupboard. For the frame.
